We will be holding a ‘Twmpath’ which is a traditional Welsh dance event. It will be held on the 10th of June between 1:30pm-3:30pm. On the day older people from the community and younger people from the local school will come together and enjoy a Welsh dancing session with folk music played by local band members and a caller for the dance.
It is an open invite for anyone in the community that is over 60. There will be refreshments available for all. It will be a buffet-style afternoon tea, and non-alcoholic drinks.
We will ask people to contact us to put their names down for the event to ensure everyone’s safety. We will be making arrangements with the younger people in the local High School as part of our bridging of generations project.

AWEN@thelibrary is Challenging Ageism and Celebrating Ageing this summer with 2 special activities and one celebratory event in Whitchurch Cardiff.
We are bringing older and younger members of our community together to challenge preconceptions about what it is like to be old; then providing an opportunity for older people to shout out about the positives of getting older.
