The Octagon Theatre Trust are planning on delivering a writing and performance workshop for older people to write monologues about ageism to theme of 'see and be seen'. Future Directions is hosting an exhibition on the “see and be seen” theme celebrating lives of older people with learning disabilities in Greater Manchester. The exhibition will portray positive aspects of their lives, showcase their contributions to local communities, and highlight barriers preventing them leading great lives.

The Flowhesion Foundation's action day event includes presentations with speakers who have experienced ageism, as well as intergenerational group work mapping out societal views of older people. Participants will be encouraged to sign a pledge on 5 agreed key points of tackling ageism.
