Letters to my younger self" from AWEN@thelibrary. Following intergenerational creative writing workshops, this is the launch of an exhibition of our writing. It is open to the public and aims to initiate conversation and raise awareness of ageing in a positive way.
'Vintage not Vanished' by Splott Community Volunteers

The exhibition will run from Monday 18th March to Saturday 23 March. The open afternoon will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday the 20 of March. The celebration event will take place on the evening of Saturday the 23 March.
"Vintage not vanished" portrait gallery to raise awareness of the volunteers in the community and encouraging positive attitudes towards ageing. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to bring in their own portraits and stories to add to the exhibition on a large display board.
Intergenerational "See and be See": Celebrating later life by Age & Dementia-friendly Holywell

Age & Dementia-friendly Holywell are organising a collaboration between a local primary school and leisure centre, holding a celebration of ageing event to show ageing in a positive light.

We want to focus on the active aspect of older life and living well. We plan to have an interactive exercise around loneliness and isolation and what it looks like to our residents. There will be information stalls from our council departments and third sector partners. We be having live demonstrations from Coed Lleol Woodlands Project, Celtic Leisure and Goldies Cymru.
