We would like to invite you to a Coffee Morning to Celebrate Age Without Limits Day taking place at Storyhouse in The Kitchen on Wednesday 11 June with the theme: Celebrate Ageing. Challenge Ageism

Arrival from 9.30am for coffee and cake

10am – 11am

• Introduction from Val Pasley – a chester resident and volunteer for the Age Without Limits campaign
• Performance from Joy France –  Joy is an all round creative – a multiple slam-winning poet, stand-up comedian, and writer who travels around delivering talks, running workshops and performing at a variety of festivals and unusual venues.
• Launch of Storyhouse Elders Festival taking place 13 – 17 October

Why are we holding this event?

Ageing is living: we are all ageing, all the time. Reclaiming pride in the natural, inevitable process of ageing is a powerful and direct challenge to the ageist narratives we grow up with. When we celebrate our age, we are taking a stand against the assumptions and stereotypes that hold us back, and we are taking a stand against ageism.
