Dance for All – Ballroom to Burlesque

This event aims to challenge societal expectations of aging by giving participants the opportunity to explore two contrasting dance styles in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The session will begin with a 45-minute Ballroom workshop, followed by a 45-minute Burlesque workshop, with a short break in between. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to try something new and have fun.

After the workshops, there will be time for open discussion, where participants can reflect on their experiences and explore themes around ageism and self-expression.

If you are interested in attending, pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited, and can be arranged through the AVSED office. Please note that consent forms must be completed prior to participation.
